Immeasurably More!
Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21)
This has been our experience, and we praise Him for all that He has done! $60,000 has now come in for the school building! This building will allow Malava Christian Academy to expand into Junior Secondary School (grades 7-9) and will hold several classrooms, a computer lab, and a teacher’s preparation room. Only $50,000 more to go to reach the $110,000 to begin the building on November 1st!! The quality of education and the moving of the Holy Spirit are drawing families from a wide variety of backgrounds. Please continue praying that as these children are educated and discipled in the Lord that their faith will grow and the Good News spread in the community. In 2027 there will be over 200 students at Malava Christian Academy!
October 1-16 there will be three young adults from Alaska on site there in Malava sharing their testimonies, teaching at assemblies, and helping with projects. Please pray for Michael, Natalie, and Leigha as they will be encouraging the ROCK staff and spending time with lots of children! These two weeks are always packed full! If you live here in Alaska, come hear their stories on Friday night 6-8pm, October 23rd, at COTR Wasilla (potluck style).
The projects that supplement the funds needed for the monthly budget of the ministry, helping to pay the 21 salaries of both staff and teachers and helping to fund the Child Sponsorship Program, are coming along well! This month ground has been broken for the very large chicken coop to house 300 layer chickens. Praise God and THANK YOU to all of you donating to these projects through the general fund! We are currently seeing about $6500 come in each month and are reaching out to new donors to bring that amount up to the $10,600 needed monthly over the next few years. We are hoping that in five years we will only be raising funds for the expansion of ROCK’s outreach for the Gospel through a bakery (teaching small business practices), a three-story school building to house 1st through 12th grade (so that the multi-purpose structure currently used can be used as an assembly hall again for outreaches and the current structure being built will become the preschool), and a medical clinic!
Lives are being changed, and the Lord exalted and lifted high, in Malava and the surrounding area. ROCK’s vision statement, to become a source of hope, healing, and restoration for families through the knowledge of Christ’s deep love and the empowerment of education, is becoming realized.
